About Preeti Gurav
I’m Dr. Preeti Gurav, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist deeply committed to nurturing the growth and development of children from infancy to adolescence. My heart swells with joy every time I witness a child achieve a milestone, and their smiles of accomplishment are my greatest reward.
Guided by my father’s wise counsel to aid those in need, I’ve shaped a career that goes beyond traditional therapy. I employ advanced, holistic methods to unlock the full potential of children with special needs, always mindful of the integral role their families play. This journey is personal for me, as a mother to two neurotypical children, I deeply empathize with the unique experiences of families raising neurodiverse children. My dual insight as a parent and therapist enhances my ability to connect, support, and guide these families, embracing the joys and navigating the complexities together.
My 13 years of experience have been enriched by working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD, and more. About Khalida Shaikh
With over 12 years of dedicated experience, I, Dr. Khalida Shaikh, have been passionately working with children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), Learning Disabilities (LD), and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
Nearly 80% of the children I have worked with are on the Autism spectrum, across diverse settings including Centres for Special Needs, private consultations, and home-based therapy programs.
To further enhance my skills, I have completed certifications in:
MNRI® (Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration)
Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT)
Brain Gym® under internationally recognized coaches
Over the years, my approach has evolved to be holistic — focusing not just on physical development, but also on building emotional connection, improving social interaction, sensory integration, and nurturing a child’s confidence. I believe that meaningful social engagement is at the heart of a child’s growth, and I work consistently to help children connect better with their families, peers, and environment.
Motherhood has been a transformative milestone in my journey. Blessed with two young children, I gained a profound understanding of a child’s world and a parent’s emotions. This personal experience has deepened my empathy and allowed me to offer solutions that are not only evidence-based but also practical and family-centered.
I believe that working with these children is a truly noble profession — one that not only touches individual lives but uplifts entire families and communities.
Even as a mother of two young children myself, my passion and commitment remain unwavering. Each child I meet inspires me to keep learning, adapting, and innovating so I can support them in the most meaningful ways.
I am driven by the belief that every child has the potential to connect, grow, and thrive — and I feel privileged to be a part of their journey.

About Rekha Nair
I am Rekha Nair. I have varied professional experiences beginning with a 10-year stint in Advertising in India’s leading AD agencies, followed by freelance work as a fund raiser for NGOs. In between I have assisted neurotypical students and their parents settle into the rigorous educational demands of mainstream schooling, helped a school set up its bus service, helped friends set up a homeschooling venture, assisted in teaching in early intervention class. This was followed by a 4 year stint as a Pre-Vocational teacher at Arushi-The Learning Centre under the Department of Special Education SNDT University. During my tenure I have guided both the department and the parents to find opportunities that helped our neurodivergent students become independent productive adults. My experience as a parent of a neuro-divergent child helped me tremendously in this journey. I am passionate about making the world a more inclusive place for everyone. One of my areas of keen interest is helping parents of neurodivergent children on their journey. I strongly believe in working on ourselves alongside working on our children. I have been guided on this path by Dr. Reena Singh who has been my son’s therapist since he was three years old.
I have gone on to become a certified practitioner of Reiki – level 1, BCNLP and other modalities of self-healing. I believe all of these help me in giving my best to my ultimate pursuit of making the world a more inclusive place for all living beings especially our neurodivergent children.
In my current role at Khushi Therapy Centre, I will assist in smoothing out parents’ experience in using the Awetism Insights app so that more and more parents can benefit from Dr. Reena Singh’s expertise in the field of Autism Intervention. I hope to make the journey of neuro-divergent parents as comfortable as possible, the same way it was made for me.
