Fine motor skills

Fine motor skills are skills related to the overall use of the hand (overall hand dexterity). Occupational therapy helps a child achieve the following:
Coordination: Being able to use hands and arms in a stable manner in order to complete a task
Crossing the midline spontaneously: Being able to bring the upper extremities across the body to perform desired actions like reaching out for a toy kept on opposite side.
Bilateral Integration: Being able to coordinate two hands together and use them in conjunction with one another without delay or difficulty like throwing or catching a ball, cutting paper with scissor, origami, etc.

Motor Planning
Being able to carry out a verbal or written direction without delay
Gross motor skills
Gross motor skills are related to the use of whole body in a particular activity in coordination with balance and spatial relation. Occupational therapy would help achieve child's age appropriate gross motor skills.
